Every year, for halloween, (NØ) cooks this surprise Potimarron. When October comes and the days shorten she brings home small potimarrons from her father’s garden. She prepares them the same way every year with bacon and mushrooms and parsley and béchamel for comfort… Come to see how she draws the ingredients in a notebook before touching the knife. This is the Halloween family meal.
Ustensils

one kitchen knife
one spoon
one cutting board
one pan
one wooden spatula
one small pot for béchamel
one baking dish
Ingredient

small potimarrons
three slices of bacon
one onion
two cloves of garlic
a handful of mixed mushrooms
a small bunch of parsley
60 cl milk
50 gr flour
50 gr butter
nutmeg
pepper
The Making
Cut the bacon into small strips
Peel and cut the onion, peel and crush the garlic
Fry the bacon in a pan until the fat is released, add the onions and garlic and cook until soft
Add the mushrooms and chopped parsley and cook gently
Cut the top of the potimarron and keep it aside like a small lid, remove the seeds with a spoon
In a small pot melt some butter, add the flour, the pepper, the nutmeg, stir and add milk slowly to make the béchamel
Combine the béchamel with the mushroom and bacon mixture
Fill the potimarron with the mixture and close with its lid
Place in a baking dish and bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes
